Brittany is a graduate from the Alternative Energy Program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science from the University of British Columbia. She has been working in the solar PV industry since 2018 as an employee at Evergreen and Gold Renewable Energy and is an Energy Manager in Training (EMIT) recognized by the Association of Energy Engineers.
In 2019, she worked on a capstone project with Stantec to deliver a solar feasibility study for a large City of Edmonton Recreation Centre while also presenting PV design options. Her passion for environmental sustainability and climate leadership began in 2012 when she joined UBCC350, a political climate action group in Vancouver, British Columbia. For four years she coordinated a student, faculty and alumni divestment campaign which eventually led to the creation of UBC’s Sustainable Future Fund in 2017. In her spare time she enjoys rock and ice climbing around the Canadian Rockies.
